They are tiny little things that come often in a blind box or out of a Japanese equivalent of a gumball machine. They are always based around a theme and are always randomly assorted into the container that finds it way into your hands.
Sometimes they are attached to cords, therefore intending them for a lifetime of dangling off your phone. Sometimes they are attached to a hook so that one may use them as a zipper pull or dangle them off a strap or keyring.
It is a habit of mine, to just pick up randomly new boxes of things because I am curious. I am a small-time gambler, someone who likes to see what will come my way and whether I will like what I open and find inside.
The gambling is what is the lure I suppose ,but I also like to say that badly designed gashopan or “toys in a box” do not result in repeat sales. I’m sure something like this might have gone over quite well.
These two things are based off the Japanese computer keyboard and the characters on them. What the designer has done is given each of them a “character” based on the character.
I never saw more of the boxes for these ever again. That is also the charm of these toys. They are limited and often sold one time only. You must grab them before they are gone.
